Kunzea
New to our range! Kunzea is a new addition to our collection. As this season's wild harvest is currently low, supply may be limited and orders may take a little longer to arrive. We appreciate your patience while we bring this rare native to you.
Introducing our Kunzea, an aromatic native herb from Australia's coastal heathlands in a convenient ground-leaf form. Kunzea (Kunzea ambigua), also known as Tick Bush or White Kunzea, is native to south-eastern Australia, growing naturally along the coastal heaths and sandy scrublands of Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales. Its fine, fragrant leaves bring a fresh, herbaceous and distinctly Australian character to your kitchen.
Flavour Notes Kunzea offers a bright, herbal flavour reminiscent of rosemary and thyme, with fresh notes of eucalyptus and pine. A subtle minty coolness and gentle spice linger on the finish, creating a complex, savoury bush herb.
Uses This versatile, all-natural ingredient works beautifully as a native alternative to rosemary and other woody herbs. Use it in seasonings, rubs and marinades, sprinkle it over roasted meats and vegetables, or add it to breads, butters and savoury baking. It pairs especially well with lamb, chicken, pork, potatoes, mushrooms and root vegetables, and adds an aromatic lift to teas, oils and cocktails.
